I love this skirt! I had to make two skirts for my toddler daughters on short notice (invited to a "come as your fav. superhero" b-day party). The ratios worked like a charm for my 2 yo and 4 yo measurements.

OOOoooppps... at step two I sewed and overlocked my skirts (all four of them) at each side and only later when I went to gather realised they should have only been joined at one side. So had to unpick them all. Silly me! I did read ahead initially beforehand but in my tired state when I was actually sewing along with your tute I made the mistake.
Just wanted to mention it in case it saved

It really is a cute pattern, so easy to make. It really takes 2-3 hours, I ususally am a bit sceptical with sewing time estimates :)

I added a ribbon alongside the hem to match the other two fabrics, my 2-year-old adores her new skirt!

Oh man, I've been planning to make a set of these for my girls and nieces for so long. Well, the time for making Christmas gifts rolled around and I found myself churning out four skirts in one day! Super cute! One thought, for the bottom ruffle is you are going to double the fabric anyway, can you just cut it twice as long and fold it, serge those ends together and avoid having to serge and hem the bottom?
