I had to get bored with white at some point, right?
So.....the acorns went green. Seemed more festive that way. And it looks really beautiful with the gray door.
But I have to admit, now I kind of miss the white.
I'll let you choose your favorite....
Good thing spray paint is cheap!
This little wreath will getting a make-over all year long!

* If you're looking for a great craft to do with the kids over Christmas break, the Acorn Wreath is perfect. If you can't find Acorns in your area, try it with nuts or even wooden beads. Get the tutorial here:

I think my favorite is the brown actually! But the green looks best with your door, for sure! I love it!

Have you seen the new holiday plastic bags at Target? They are red with a cool white pattern on them and perfect for making some grocery totes! I thought of your tutorial immediately when I saw them. Hopefully I can gather up enough bags to make one for a Christmas gift!

I can't decide, but probably white, because I'm boring like that. I can't wait to see what to wreath wears to next year's Valentine's Day Dance!

I have to go with the green. I'm always drawn to green. The grocery bag tutorial is excellent and so well done. I've tried this process before and got super frustrated. I'm going to try again. Did you use your go to iron or do you have a back up craft iron?

I think I like a certain color depending on the season. I think I like the green for Christmas or for spring, for fall the white or the brown, and for winter the white...I'm one that likes to switch things up. I want to make one, and I may make a few for different seasons...they're all SO cute!

Hey Jen,
thanks for the comments on MADE. yea, i just use my normal iron. And it was a frustrating project at first. I can see how you threw your hands up in the air at it. I was at that point but decided to try it one more time and it worked!
Seriously, the Target bags were key for me. Walmart ones just melted into little pieces. A fitting metaphor :)

We have acorns around here, but they're tiny. I wonder if I could gather enough? I'm in love with all three colors, though I gravitate to the natural the most.

The WHITE one is my favorite. Clean. And looks like Jordan Almonds.

Ahh! I loved the white, but now I love the green. And I think I'd like it a nice rich red. Or a cobalt blue... I wish all our acorns weren't gone already I sooo wanted to make this :(

Different every season! I love the green! I loved the white too. Still amazed at your patience though to glue every single acorn....

I love the green. And yes it is festive. The blue, would be way cute for winter/ spring too.

BTW.... love the turkey skirt. Made one for my 10 year old. Used different materials to create different textures. She loves it, I love it!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

I love the natural look of the brown. I made my boys hunt for acorns with me after I saw this, but the squirrels had taken most of them already...bummer! Maybe next year!

Definitely the GREEN! (my fave color)

I will have to make this. (minus the nuts-kiddo with nut allergy), I'll have to pick up more wood beads...that should work.

Thanks for the great idea!
