The baby's older sister is Chloe. I'm taking a risk, assuming she'll love her, but I feel confident that will be the case. Maybe I should be more concerned with the reverse side. I'll have to make Chloe a Tshirt, in hopes that she loves little sis too.I tried hand-dying the onesies this time around. I followed this fabulous (and EASY) tutorial and dyed the onesies right in my kitchen in a bowl. The color came out perfect and dyed evenly:
The words are stenciled with black Tulip (soft Matte) paint. And the heart is two layers of white knit, sewn on with my machine. I'll be making this combo again. I heart the result.

I love it. Great tutorial, too. Thanks! Can't wait to try.
So cute! I'm sure Chloe's little sis will absolutely love it.
You must have some serious skills using RIT dye in a bowl! Nicely done! :)
Unless there are long-term death threats involved, I am certain baby will love Chloe. :) The dye color is so unusual, kind of like a rich watermelon color. Gotta love Rit!
super cute. like the lettering too.
I just wanted to say I LOVE all of the things you make! I'm jealous of your mad sewing skills!
that hand dyeing is seriously the way to go! love the result
Love the idea of a baby shower where everyone makes onesies! What a creative party.
This is so adorable!! Sarah must love it!
That's great! I love the font on the letters. It takes me back to when I used to have t-shirts made at the t-shirt shop. Good times. :)
this is darling! thanks for the idea. you are so talented.
I really have to try the freezer paper thingy now!! That onsie is SO cute. What a great outfit to come home from the hospital in, or even when big sister comes to visit for the first time. Great idea. BTW, we missed you in class today.
Very cute, I will have to try the dye, fun color!
I heart this too, Dana! I love the idea of dying onesies. I mean, how often do you see fushia for little ones?
i love dying onesies... i don't like a lot of the options out there for babies, and my sewing is still in the beginning stages... so for my daughter i just dyed a ton of onesies with the RIT wine, purple and brown. mixed and matched with other things, the colors look great.
i'm trying the freezer paper stencil today. thanks for the great idea!
I love this so much! I made two as gifts :) Thanks for the awesome idea!
i love this font. where do you get the best fonts for stenciling?
